Around 1490's, the styles of clothing started changing a bit. Women had funnel sleeves that started big and tightened toward the cuff. Women covered their hair with a headdress like a kennel or a gable. Peasant women wore the cote of the earlier period and handkerchiefs or collar around their neck. Colors were dark and vibrant during the Renaissance period where velvet, wrist ruffles and collars were also very popular.
