They are surprisingly comfortable and give you a little lift through the 2 1/2 heel. Laces at back are a great new feature and these do not have a zipper which makes them more period appropriate. In addition cuffed/folded (shown in picture) these reenactment boots can be worn upright. It's always nice to have that option so that the boots remain versatile. Our Maiden Boots are available in black and brown.
