Riveted Aluminum Chainmail Hauberk

Our Price:$409.99
Catalog#:N9060
Aprox Weight:9 lbs
This product usually ships in 1 to 2 business days.

Riveted Aluminum Chainmail Hauberk fits up to 54 inch chest. Made of 16 gauge aluminum riveted links. Mid Length. The ends of each chainmail ring overlap each other and are flattened. A hole is put through the flatten section, and the ring is riveted closed. This is to prevent the separation of links, and is styled in the European 4 into 1 ring fashion just like museum originals.

Aluminum Hauberk offers modern light weight comfort. You can marvel at the original riveted chainmail in museums or get your own fantastic creation, fully wearable and very historical.

The mail hauberk is a defensive garment that even today still continues to attract everybody's attention. Hauberks existed in a number of different configurations. Long or short sleeves, with or without mittens, with or without attached hood, reaching to the middle, to the thigh or to the knees. People always tried to name those different garments and sort them according to the period in time in which they would have been used the most. Only a few hundred of medieval European hauberks have survived in museums, mostly dating from the 15th and 16th century. The few mail garments saved from the 14th century and earlier are very scarce.
