The Cadwaller Dragon Banner is a deep black on top with a red bottom panel. The Dragon Crest is silk-screened on in silver. The glistening silver symbol of Dragon on the black top panel complements a Welsh bottom panel. The height of the Cadwaller Banner is 48 inches and the width is 22 1/2 inches. Made of durable cotton.
Cadwaller Dragon is the emblem of Wales. It appears on its national flag; it consists of red dragon, passant, on a green and white field. The red dragon is derived from the Great Red Serpent that once was a symbol of the old Welsh god Dewi. There are many legends associated with the Welsh dragon. The most famous is the prophecy of Myrddin (or Merlin) if a long fight between a red dragon and a white dragon. According to the legend, the white dragon dominated at first, but eventually the red dragon would win.
