Armaduras Richard the Lionheart Shield is an ornate, full sized shield by Armaduras, bearing the seal of King Richard the Lionhearted of England. Crafted in Toledo, Spain, Richard the Lionheart shield is made in burnished steel with bronzed embossing. The piece is equipped for wall hanging and is complete with a back-mounted bracket that allows one or two swords to be fixed behind the shield for an outstanding wall display. Richard I was King of England from 1189 to 1199. He was often called Richard the Lionheart. He was portrayed a hero in his day by his countrymen. However, to Arabs and Turks, whom he attempted to evict from Palestine, Richard seems as a monster, a tyrant and a murderer.
