Horse Whip with 2 Mini Daggers
|
The overall length of the horse whip is 29 1/2 inches. The length of the two mini daggers is 7 1/4 inches.
Dressage whips are usually 3 feet long and are used to refine the aids of the rider, not to hurt the horse. The fundamental purpose of Dressage is to develop, through standardized progressive training methods, a horse's natural athletic ability and willingness to perform, thereby maximizing its potential as a riding horse. The term dressage comes from a French word meaning "training." Early European aristocrats displayed their horses' training in equestrian pageants, but in modern dressage competition, successful training at the various levels is demonstrated through the performance of "tests," or prescribed series of movements within a standard arena. Lunge whips are usually 5 feet long and are used to direct the horse on a circle. They take place of the rider's leg aids. The positioning of the lunge whip in relation to the horse gives the horse signals. Driving whips are shorter than lunge whips and are used specifically for driving purposes.
