Worn in Barcelona, Spain, in the late 16th century, the Renaissance-era Capitano evolved into the 17th century Cavalier hat. The Cavalier Hat comes in black with three 18-22 inch ostrich feathers: two black and your choice of a Black, Purple, Royal Blue, White or Burgundy. Our Top quality Capitano is made of buckram, fully-lined, has finished seams on the inside, sweat band, eyelets to hold up the five-inch brim which has milliner’s wire around the edge for shaping, individually hand-blocked in the traditional fashion. |
