French Journe Dress
|
The Journe gown is versatile in that it can also be worn with the ruffled chemise. In this manner, women go about the countryside in Limousin, France, in 1530's. This gown was worn just before Limousin became famous for its limouge porcelain. Made of cotton velveteen and half-lined in satin, Journe gown has sleeves that tie on with ribbon - a nice option for hot days. The bodice does the job of a corset to lift the bosom and hold in the tummy.
Journe is shown with optional Ruffled Chemise and Flemish Pill Hat. Can also be worn with Classic Chemise. Available in: Black, Flame Red, Hunter Green, Navy, and Rouge.
Limousin is one of the 26 regions of France. It’s made up of two historical French provinces: Limousin and Marche. The province of Limousin is the most populated part of the Limousin region. On the European mainland, Limousin is the least populated French region. Limousin is a rural region.
