French Highwayman Coat is a stunning full-length coat made of durable black denim and is designed with a generous split in the back, as well as the sides, for easy movement. A stylish wide period cuff with braid and buttons adorn the sleeves, while the laced double collar can be worn either up for disguise or down for city traveling. Available in black only. Dry clean only.
Highwayman was a term used during the 17th and 18th centuries to describe criminals who robbed people. These outlaws would use or threaten violence in order to seize money and other valuables from their victims. The highwaymen are often popularly associated with famous phrases, such as "your money or your life" or "stand and deliver".
