Scotts Doublet is a fabulous doublet that offers superb quality and style. Scottish Doublet is a cotton velveteen replica of an existing leather one from 1610 at the Royal Scottish Museum, in Edinburgh. The detachable sleeves make this a four-season doublet. The Scot Doublet is styled with a 30-button, single-breasted closure and gold trimming sewn on throughout. The Venetian Breeches offer a drawstring waistband, button fly, and pocketbags.

Scotts Doublet is an outfit that will definitely get everyone's attention!

Machine wash, tumble dry.
Sizes: 38", 40", 44", 46", 50".
Colors: Admiral Navy, Jewel Black, Hunter Green, Rouge, Purple.

Doublet was worn in Western Europe from Middle Ages through the 17th century. Originally, a doublet was just stitched and quilted lining (‘doubling’), worn under a hauberk or cuirass to prevent bruising and chafing. Later, from the late 15th century and on, it became elaborated enough to be worn by itself.
