The Black Ronin Tomahawk features a 3 1/2" axe head made of 420 stainless steel. The head of this Black Ronin Tomahawk has a non reflective black finish and a spike. The Black Ronin Tomahawk has full tang construction, with a black nylon cord wrapped handle that tapers to a point. A weather resistant, black nylon sheath with belt loop is included with this Black Ronin Tomahawk. The Black Ronin Tomahawk has an overall length of 15 1/8". The Black Ronin Tomahawk is named after the infamous Ronin, Japanese masterless Samurai. Because samurai receive their living from their lord in return for service, a masterless samurai was essentially a vagabond unless he could enter the service of another lord. Ronin could be disruptive to society. In Japanese culture, Ronin were a target of humiliation and satire. After they lost their masters, they were required to commit a ritual suicide or otherwise suffer endless shame.
