The Trinity Toe Ring features a Trinity symbol. It measures 5/8 inches in diameter, but it is adjustable to fit your size. The Trinity Toe Ring is made of genuine sterling silver. Trinity is a common, ancient Celtic symbol and basic symbol for a high spiritual pride. Triquetra is another word for Trinity, which in Latin means three-cornered. Triquetra is often seen on the robes of Catholic priests. Christianity re-invented the symbolism of three to mean the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Triquetra also represents the threefold nature of the Goddess as virgin, mother and crone. It symbolizes life, death, and rebirth and the three forces of nature: earth, air, and water. The inner three circles represent the female element and fertility. The Triquetra symbol itself dates as early as the eighth century on carved stones in northern Europe. A Norse rune known as the Odin Knot or Val Knot also resembles it. |
