Medieval Polearm Plaque
|
The Medieval Polearm Plaque is a uniquely ornate plaque displaying signature polearm pieces from feudal Asia. Polearms include spear, fork, and halberd. The plaque is a miniature piece, measuring approximately 13 inches in length and 11 inches in width. The weapons measure about 12 inches and cannot be removed. The image featured on the plaque is that of a samurai. The Polearm Plaque is a great wall accessory and will add a wonderful touch to room or office!
Pole weapons include spear, lance, halberd, pike, ahspiess, naginata, scythe, poleaxe, bill, long war hammer and many more. Polearm is a close combat weapon with the main fighting part of the weapon placed on an end of long shaft, typically made of wood. The use of polearms is very old. The first spears date back to the Stone Age and were probably first used as hunting weapons. Polearms are relatively cheap and simple to make and fairly easy for most people to use.
