Imperial Italic Red Centurion Helmet
|
The Imperial Italian Centurion helmet is authentically designed and beautifully detailed. The helmet is based after the original found in Italy. The Imperial Italic Centurion Helmet has the ear-to-ear mounted red plume, which is characteristic of the Roman Legions. The Imperial Italic Centurion Helmet is made from 18 gauge steel. The helmet also features solid cheek plates and solid brass fittings. The helmet is approximately 11" tall.
Centurion was a professional officer of the Roman army. Centurions were all the middle- and lower-ranking commissioned officers of a legion. Each legion had primus pilus, the senior centurion, a kind of supercharged Sergeant Major. Roman Centurion was distinguished by his uniform: his armor was silvered, he wore hiss word on his left side rather than his right, and the crest of his helmet was tuned so that it went sideways across his helmet like a halo.
