Illuminati cross is a magnificent cross that should be part of your wardrobe. This stunning cross offers a unique detailing, featuring five Austrian crystals and a gilt star in the middle. A Bernini angel is presented on each side of the cross. The cross is ornamented with hieroglyphics.

The angels of Bernini steer the sacred path of light through the altars of science.

Illuminati is a Greek word meaning 'Illumination'; a name given to those who submitted to Christian baptism. In Latin, it literally means 'Enlightened ones.' Those who were baptized were called Illuminati or Illuminated/Enlightened Ones by the Ante-Nicene clergy, on the assumption that those who were baptized in the Apostolic faith had an enlightened understanding. The Alumbrados, a mystical 16th-century Spanish sect, were among the societies that later adopted the name Illuminati. Later on, the title of Illuminati was used by a secret society founded in 1776 by Adam Weishaupt, a former Jesuit and professor of canon law at the University of Ingolstadt. It aimed to combat religious thinking and encourage rationalism.
