Wood Practice Tanto

Wood Practice Tanto is a wood version of the real tanto. Our Wooden Practice tanto measures just 11 inches in length and is great for training.

A tanto is a Japanese knife/small sword; a smaller version of katana. It was designed mainly for stabbing but it can be used as a slashing instrument as well. On the battlefield, the tanto was used to pierce feudal-era armor when warriors were up close and grappling. The unique shape with the long, narrow blade and very thick spine that tapered to the kissaki (point) was punched under or through the armor.
