Double Cage Rapier is an elegant rapier which will make a stunning decoration piece in your home. The blade of the Double Cage Rapier is not full battle worthy and cannot be sharpened. Double Cage Rapier features a cage hand guard and elaborate sword-catcher all in one. The overall length of the rapier is 42". Double Cage Rapier does not include scabbard. The rapier began to develop around 1500. The rapier became extremely fashionable throughout Europe with the wealthier classes, but was not without its detractors.
