Knights Of Jerusalem Shield is full-sized shield, historically accurate down to the last detail. The red Jerusalem cross is centered on a background split between white and black painted over a full metal shield. Knights Of Jerusalem Shield details include two diagonally placed gold-plated fleur-de-lis and brass banding accented with black metal tips and brass studs. Below the centered Jerusalem cross is a gold-plated gryphon's head. Founded in 1113, the Knights Hospitalers soon became known as the Knights of Jerusalem for their success in protecting Christians on pilgrimage to the holy lands.
