Silver Dragon Nunchaku is constructed of hardwood with steel caps and chain link. Because of its wood construction, the nunchaku is perfect for training. The overall length of the Silver Dragon Nunchaku is 12 3/4 inches. The nunchaku comes from Okinawa (Uchina), today a part of Japan. Many have believed that the nunchaku has descended from the rice flail to level rice fields. However, this has been shown incorrect. The actual rice flail actually resembles nunchaku and this is where the belief might have come from. There are many versions concerning nunchaku’s history and what it was actually used for. For example, it was a night watchman’s rattle or a tool for baring bananas trees. Or that is was actually copied from a Chinese weapon brought to Okinawa by Chinese immigrants. |
