Knight Gambeson is essentials of the wardrobe for every knight. Our heavily quilted version is of 100% cotton in traditional burgundy. Lacing up one side and along the neck means you can adjust the fit of your medieval gambeson just the way you like it. Knight Gambeson has a high neck, slightly extended shoulders and the tunic length adds to the versatility. Once you own a medieval gambeson, you'll wonder how you ever did without it. In earlier times, knights and men at arms often wore a medieval gambeson under their chain mail for comfort and to prevent rubbing their skin raw. On days when mail wasn't necessary, they could toss the knight gambeson over a shirt to serve as soft armour to protect the torso and neck. Dry clean. Knight Gambeson comes in two sizes: S/M or L/XL. |
