The movie 300 is based on Frank Miller's graphic novel about the legendary battle of Thermopylae between the Spartans and the Persians. The Spartan helmet is made of detailed fiberglass and will give you the look and feel of a Spartan when worn. This limited edition piece is an exact replica of the helmets worn in the movie and includes a certificate of authenticity. It is a limited to 2, 000 pieces worldwide. The Spartan Helmet was the only actual piece of armor worn by King Leonidas' and his warriors so you have to imagine that the helmet they wear had to be a pretty important piece of equipment. In fact, the Spartan shield they carried and the Spartan helmet they wore protected almost all of their body, from ankle to crown, when they were in battle. The Spartan Helmet is wearable and lightweight. It is made to fit an average sized head. The 300 movie prop helmet is handcrafted from fiberglass and painted to look bronze.
