The authentic quality reproduction of our stick grenade is the one of famed German World War II stick grenade called “potato masher” grenade. Such weapon was very popular during the World War II because of its effectiveness therefore it was the most recognized German infantry weapon of the 20th century. Although this weapon contained many names throughout its life, it still reserved its place as one of the most popular weapons during the grandest wars in history.

The German stick grenade replica is to be used for decorative purposes only but such grenade works very well and is quickly in use in overall. These “potato mashers” were tied into bundles for a great explosion effect during each World War. They functioned in a way that required the thrower to remove the cap on the bottom of the hollow handle and yank it on an exposed cord which started the fuse and then the action. Their simple structure was comfortable to use where the stick portion was able to be shoved into the belt quickly.
To use this German weapon correctly and effectively, one must grasp the handle of the weapon firmly but ensure that the safety lever is held with the thumb. The pull ring then must be grasped with the index or middle finger of the “free hand,” removing the safety pin and throwing the weapon at last. The safety lever is then released with the striker throwing the safety lever away. The primer then explodes and ignites the fuse which burns down and activates the detonator which explodes the main charge. Different positions may be discussed in order to use such product effectively but all must be used with great caution.
Our replica of the German grenade has a realistic-looking metal explosive head with authentic markings. It also contains a hollow wood handle with cord and bead to near its composition to the real, functional German grenade. The metal cap at the very end of the product unscrews to let the cord with bead be visible. This is not an explosive and not a functional replica. It is intended for decorative or theatrical purposes which will make other weapons look weak.
