German Waffen SS Pullover Smock
|
Our Geman pullover is definitely the most interesting garments of War World II. It is made in the most unique and different way than the most other war uniforms. Such war pullover has a neck drawn string with two big pockets, buttons, elastic waist and cuff ban with a reversible side and a size which fits most sizes up to a 48 inch chest.
The Waffen-SS is most noted for its use of camouflaged uniforms starting in the mid 1930s being mainly concerned on the zeltbahn (shelter quarter). Several officers involved themselves with the new designs of war uniforms but two officers on the Deutschland staff: SS-Obersturmführer Ecke and SS-Hauptsturmführer Dr. Ing. Wim Brandt were the ones who sugggested and began developing the preliminary designs for a camouflaged pullover smock and helmet cover. These two became the hallmark of the Waffen-SS.
There were ten basic camouflaged pattern used by the Waffen-SS during the war but only four were used for the production of panzer uniforms. The pattern used in this special smock is called the Oak Leaf patter which was very distinctive because it resulted from the background printing of the blurred edge pattern with the addition of couple more colors. The articles manufactured usng this oak leaf patterns are more scarce than their counterparts which was produced from 1941 thorough 1945 and functioning to the end of the war. Production of this pattern was accomplished with machine roller and was used for manufacturing of all clothing except the paratrooper jump smock. Match this smock with our fabulos
German SS M44 Dot Pants for the most effective outfit of the World War II. Most will be amazed at its fabulous structure and uniqueness.
